We have all felt it at one time or another, the anger towards a rude customer who aggressively demands the attention of a customer service representative, using foul language, name calling and threats to get what they want. Our understanding, compassion or fear of the consequences keeps us from pursuing a more aggressive method of satisfying the situation, while maintaining a false concern for their needs, despite their verbal assault.
Tommy Thorpe, a collections agent in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin call center, finds his sanity slipping quickly with every abusive call. Combined with the pressures from his supervisor, and abrupt change in his financial status, he allows a darker side of himself to surface, committing the ultimate crime to release his stress and problems. Soon, any information obtained from a customer, will be used for an entirely different purpose.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a treat to read. It's always a plus when an author has a sense of humor, and Mr Spencer does in spades. On top of that this is a well written tale with a coherent plot and an obvious mission to entertain - a success on that score, I would say. On the negative side would be my belief that a novel should typically at least hint that good has triumphed over evil in the end. Not a deal breaker however. This book was still enjoyable and, I have to say that you did stick the landing at the end, not the easiest feat I'm aware.Product details

Being a customer service rep myself this book was mind blowing. I had a very hard time putting it down. Some of it was so real. I cant wait till I get to read more books from him. Great job.
Good story
was pleasantly surprised at how good this book was since I never heard of the author. great read. will definitely read more by him.
Suspenseful easy read. Difficult to put down. I enjoy this author's twist on characters that we experience in every day life! It's easy to connect to the star character.
I saw that this was available as a free download and, considering the personally relevant subject matter, figured that it was worth a read. The story itself was pretty good - it definitely held my interest and made me want to keep reading to see how it would end. However, the one thing I just could not get past was the poor writing. This book is littered with grammatical errors on almost every page, so much so that it truly detracted from the story. Still worth the read, but if I was the author I would consider getting a better editor.
The story is quite good, with lots of murderous action. The story is amusing and I can relate to Tommy Thorpe's mounting frustration. I greatly enjoyed the book, BUT the use, misuse and downright missing and transposed words almost made me hit my head against the wall! Clean up this novel and hire a good editor, and I would expect this author to sell more books.
"I feel very privilaged to have been one of the first to read The Rep. A very relatable and suspenseful story. I found myself not wanting to put it down. Adventuring into the mind of a killer the "stickman" had me cheering for the bad guy the entire time.
